Acute visiting Service (AVS)

AVS is a service which works with the practice dealing with home visit requests.

Home visits are triaged by a doctor or ANP in the practice and referred directly to the team to visit patients triaged as too ill to attend the practice. This service is for the housebound.

The service is in contact with the practice and visits are reviewed by the requesting clinician.

Third party ordering

From 11.07.2017 the practice will no longer be accepting 3rd party ordering from chemists. Patients will be required to order their prescriptions at the practice. Patients can be set up with access to their notes to enable them to order on line- ID may be required, the reception staff will be happy to help assist you with your log in details.

You may also continue to put your prescription request in the box provided in reception.

2 working days (48 hours) are required for  repeat prescription requests- any prescription queries may require a longer time to process.

For further information please ask reception staff.

Patient Participation Group

We are looking to recruit new members to  Patient Participation Group. We would welcome you views on our practice and would like anyone interested in joining the practice patient participation group to speak to the reception staff about joining.  (07.11.2023)

PATIENT ACCESS ONLINE:

At present our patients can register for access on line which enables them to book an appointment, order repeat prescriptions and view part of their medical records.

  • Patients can now view their medical records online once on line access registration has been completed. Please note you will only see your records from the day you register and should you move to another GP surgery your online access will start from the day of new registration.
  • Proxy access- patients who have online access to a child's records will find this will stop once the child reaches the age of 11 years. No proxy access is given for a child aged 16 years or over.
